easyJet and Lufthansa set to open Berlin’s new airport with a parallel landing

With Berlin’s new Brandenburg Airport set to open on the 31st of October 2020 after years of delays, plans for the airports opening are starting to be revealed. According to AeroTelegraph, on the airports opening day, easyJet and Lufthansa will perform a simultaneous parallel landing at the airport to mark the occasion.

easyJet and Lufthansa will be the two main airlines based at the airport, originally now-defunct Air Berlin was set to be a main user of the airport however they ceased operations in 2017.

Currently, the airport is undergoing a series of pre-opening checks to ensure it is up to standard for commercial use before its opening in October.
