United Arab Emirates national carrier, Etihad Airways have become the first airline to vaccinate their entire operational crew. The airline has also vaccinated 75% of its entire workforce with at least 1 shot of COVID-19 vaccine.
Etihad believes their vaccination campaign will “help curb the spread of COVID-19 and give passengers who travel with the airline peace of mind.” The airline also requires all passengers and crew to be tested for COVID-19 before every flight to ensure the safety of all those onboard their aircraft.
The United Arab Emirates, where airlines such as Etihad, Emirates and Fly Dubai are based, aims to vaccinate half of its entire population by the end of March. The nation currently has the second-highest vaccination rate in the world.
